The Yushikan is a small private traditional dojo located in Swayzee, IN.  Established in 1994 to preserve and teach the traditional martial arts of Okinawa and Japan, we offer traditional martial arts instruction at a reasonable price.  We focus on the development of the student, proper technique and understanding of application with emphasis placed on the traditions, morals, and philosophies of the arts we teach.  Classes are taught in a safe environment with emphasis placed on proper attitude, discipline, and respect for others.

We offer instruction in Okinawan Gojuryu Karate Do, Ryukyu Kobujutsu and Japanese Aikijujutsu and Iaido.

We serve as the North American Headquarters for the Gojuryu Okinawakan Karatedo Kobudo Kyokai, the Pan-American Headquarters for the International Gojuryu Karate Association and we are also officially sanctioned and recognized member of the  United States Karate-do Kai and Sekai Dentokan Bugei Renmei, Inc. The Sekai Dentokan Bugei Renmei, Inc. is a member organization of the Zen Nihon Sogo Budo Renmei (All Japan Comprehensive Martial Arts Federation), located in Kyoto, Japan. All ranks awarded by this dojo are certified by these organizations.
