Here I will discuss Okinawan Karate, Kobudo and Jujutsu (Jiujitsu) and my thoughts on the subjects, I will also post up coming events for the Yushikan dojo, Goeikai and WGKA. I am sure that most people who will arrive at this page will be my students, or students of my students, but for those of you that are not, let me introduce myself.
My name is C. Michial Jones (Mike). First and foremost, I am a student of Okinawan Gojuryu following the teachings of the late Eiichi Miyazato Hanshi and Koshin Iha Hanshi. I am the Owner/ Chief Instructor of the Yushikan Dojo located in Swayzee, Indiana. I am the USA Shibu-cho for the Okinawa Gojuryu Karate-do Goeikai and the President of the World Gojuryu Karate Alliance. I started my Gojuryu karate-do training under the guidance of my father (Curt Jones) in 1977. I have continued to train ever since and have trained under some highly respected karate-ka. I also trained in Kobudo under Josei Yogi Sensei (Matayoshi lineage) and Kiichi Nakamoto (Ufuchiku lineage). I trained in Japanese Jujutsu under Roy J. Hobbs Sensei and I train Gracie Jiujitsu under Rocky France Jr.
